What is data analysis?

Your data in a database format

The same data displayed in SAP Crystal Reports

SAP believes that small enterprises should implement business intelligence (BI) in phases by starting with small steps, achieving success at it, and then building upon it. Such an approach provides for organizational learning on small budgets, where mistakes are not expensive.

1. Become comfortable with BI
Focus on deploying those aspects of BI that can have an immediate impact on daily decision making while providing the basis for organizational learning. Examples include executive dashboards and simple operational reports.

2. Build upon early successes
Expand the scope of BI such that the organization becomes comfortable with using various facts and insights for decision making. Examples include implementing operational reporting, operational dashboards, and ad hoc search query and analysis.

3. Achieve pervasive use of BI
All decisions are made on facts rather than intuition. Companies in this phase expand BI to mobile devices and roll out ad-hoc analysis and data visualization capabilities to business analysts in all departments of the enterprise.

SAP Crystal solutions allow you to implement an Intelligent Enterprise by combining Analysis, Business Intelligence, Decision Support and pixel-perfect Reporting. But it all starts with your data.

Data is collected and stored in data sources. Data sources can be analyzed and visualized in charts and tables. Charts and tables can be grouped in documents and dashboards. Documents and dashboards can be securely shared with other users in static or dynamic format.

What is pixel-perfect reporting?

       1. Documents are laid out
Once you have created your tables, your charts and your maps in
SAP Crystal Reports, you can combine them into documents. A pixel perfect-document can be:
a laid out report with one or many pages,
a list of invoices to be sent out to customers,
a business overview to share with investors.

  2. Documents are personalized
Your documents have to be adapted to your audiences. They need to:
● drive trust by looking professional,
● be recognized as coming from your organization,
● allow pixel perfect adjustements like desktop publishing tools, for a professional look and feel.

    3. Documents are refreshed
With SAP Crystal Reports you can create pixel-perfect documents once and use them as a template. Each time your data sources are updated, you can refresh your documents with a simple click or in automated fashion. This will save you a lot of time.
